Ovidiu defended his PhD in 2022 at the University of Bucharest with a dissertation on René Descartes and mixed mathematics. More generally, his research deals with early modern philosophy and science. He has worked on the scientific circle of Marin Mersenne, Cartesian natural philosophy, and seventeenth-century English natural philosophy.
