Karin de Boer

Karin de Boer is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Leuven and coordinator of the Leuven Research Group in Classical German Philosophy (LCGP). She published numerous articles on Kant, German idealism, and Heidegger. She is further the author of Thinking in the Light of Time: Heidegger’s Encounter with Hegel (2000), On Hegel: The Sway of the Negative (2010), and Kant’s Reform of Metaphysics: The Critique of Pure Reason Reconsidered (Cambridge 2020). She also co-edited The Experiential Turn in Eighteenth-Century German Philosophy (Routledge 2021, with Tinca Prunea Bretonnet). Her current research focuses on metaphilosophical aspects of the Critique of Pure Reason and their reception in early post-Kantian philosophy.
