Arnaud Pelletier is chair of the Centre de recherche en philosophie (PHI) and coordinates the Groupe de recherche en philosophie moderne (GRPM). His main focus is on the problem of metaphysical invention in modern philosophy, especially as regards Leibniz, eighteenth-century German philosophy up to the early Kant. A substantive part of his work deals with the way Leibniz’s and Kant’s contributions to mathematics and physics go hand in hand with their respective reforms of metaphysics. His forthcoming monograph addresses Leibniz’s reform of categories.
